We had a speaker earlier this month and I can't remember a better response and excitement from our club in a long time (along with a few tears).
Our club is taking this on as our International Project and getting started raising funds.
We're looking to join another club to get District Grants and our club could cover most of the fundraising. Let me know if this is something that you'd like to have Grace Ushindi the Executive Director come present? If the club has the same passion, we could talk about the partnership.
The org is www.SerenityHouseAfrica.com and the project is to raise funds to finish a home for unhoused kids they provide tuition for in Uganda. They need only $12,000 left to get this home build.
